Trust not in Wikipedia

I was reading wikipedia’s entry on Republican Senator Ron Paul and I couldn’t help but get infuriated. About three quarters of the way down Paul’s “free encyclopedia” dossier there is a heading marked “Controversial racial remarks.” This is the portion of the article that is responsible for the vein protruding from my forehead. Here is the quote that wikipedia finds controversial: “…we are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers.” What about the aforementioned quote is fictitious? The correct answer ladies and gentlemen is NOTHING. I implore you to consult the Dept. of Justice’s website and do a little empirical fact-finding! You will discover that Paul’s comments are 100% accurate. My question is…why is the truth so god-awful? Could it be that if the truth were to “get out” ordinary Whites would be marching in the streets calling for justice?
